Onto other non depressing news...as i was saying i went to Copan, Honduras on friday and came back saturday night.
So you can see streets of the village of Copan, Honduras
The hotel we stayed at( it was actually quite nice, i like ^_^)
It is tradition in latin american countries to celebrate "semana santa" or holy week (for all you non cultured people whom can't speak spanish *_*). Semana Santa is when the christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. It begins with lent and holy week begins on the first sunday of april (it's actually a lot like spring break b/c most people just go to the beach and take like a long vacation...not very holy like to me....most people are drunk outta their minds =_=). It ends on easter sunday where, like all good little catholics, they spend the day at church giving thanks that Jesus has resurrected. (If only my dog resurrected, that MIGHT make me feel better....wait...did i just say a heretic sentence?...oh well, we all know I'm going to hell anyways *shrug*). So, despite my earlier ramblings....the point is that in order to celebrate, they make "alfombras" or rugs if you will out of wood shavings (which are dyed different colors) so that when they are re-enacting the "burial" of jesus, they stop over these rugs and you pray (i'm giving you the diluted version of this whole religious deal...don't really remember how it goes to be honest...he he).
This was the one that was in front of the hotel
There were more along that street, it's actually a big deal for latinos...except for me
It was fun, i got to spend time with family i haven't seen in like 2 years (they're from my dad's side of the family). So we went to the ruins that exist there and i got to see some neat things.

The only thing i didn't like was the fucking hot sun and the dry weather. I sweat sooo much (i actually felt gross, which is weird for me =_=).

Can you imagine being in 90 something degree weather with all these fucking people!
(Not to mention it was like 10 pm and still freaking hot , i felt like i was in a sauna -_-')
Then the bus ride home saturday afternoon was uneventful, i was hella tired when i got home (not to mention i recieved the sad news my dog had died) so i went to sleep.
Continuing, day 3 of our little expedition was spent in El Salvador and its surrounding locations. We went to Cerro Verde, Coatepeque and Santa Ana. Cerro Verde (which translates to green hill...) used to be a volcano that erupted hella years ago and now is covered in lush forrestry.
Or this toucan over here...how cute...(i went to a bird park called Macaw Mountain)
And these are the macaws....i got to hold one but my uncle has those pictures so i have to ask for it

This is the Coatepeque lake, it also used to be a volcano which is now filled with water....
The Izalco volcano, made fron sand...i had to climb that thing when i was like 6...stupid dad (oh and btw...i forgot his bday again =_=;)
Look at this pretty little purple flower. I was playing around with the settings of my ka-me-ra...
And just because i feel like putting this:
This is my dog chobi, he was 10. We got him when he was 2 months and he gave our family much joy. He was especially there to be an emotional support for my mother during her tough times. I will greatly miss his enthusiasm and love. I will miss his bark and his wagging tail. I will miss him waiting for me to come home and coming to greet me once i got out of the car. I will miss his sloppy little kisses on my face. And i will truly miss not being able to hug him everyday. He truly was a wonderful dog and I know that he is resting finally after having to deal with so much pain.
R.I.P CHOBI. WE WILL MISS YOU.
Later duckies, not feeling so great....
I'll try and update soon but my life is not that interesting as of late.
